"Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of these things and still be calm in your heart." - Unknown
YOUTH
I grew up dancing; ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, etc. During this I had no time to focus on the fuel I was putting in my body. I ate fast food at least twice a day and that did not include the TV dinners. I ended up quitting dancing and started to model. I kept eating the same foods, lessened my activity, and was told I needed to lose weight to go further with modelling. One thing led to another and I developed an eating disorder: anorexia, and bulimia.
I was unhappy, couldn't think clearly, and hated every part of myself. I became extremely depressed and turned to self harm. Eventually I got to the place of feeling so lost and desperate that I needed to do something to change.

BALI
One night when I was having insomnia and feeling particularly terrible about my life Bali found me. I came across an ad and I booked a flight to a yoga teacher training retreat that was to commence five days from then. I was not into yoga at that time. I was drawn to fill the last spot available.
I received my 200 hour RYT certificate, and gained a whole new outlook on life. I felt confident, determined, and ready for anything. I fell in love with yoga and meditation, and decided that it was what I needed to offer to others.
AFTER
I came back to Vancouver and enrolled at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition where I learned to fall in love and appreciate food again. I gained the knowledge that I lacked growing up and gained a strong passion to be able to provide people with that knowledge.
Here I am now with my own business where I can finally share with everyone how to find balance through the three main things that changed my life: nutrition, meditation, and yoga.
